Our Vision and Mission
Vision
To create a forum for Latino administrators and educational leaders that promotes equity in leadership positions throughout the state of Oregon.
Mission
The mission of the Oregon Association of Latino Administrators (OALA) is to promote Latino educators, both current and aspiring into positions of leadership through mentorship, networking, and professional development. OALA will affect the educational interests of all students in Oregon, particularly those of Latino heritage in order to ensure their educational success.

Meet and Greet with Dr. Crew

Lewis and Clark College
OALA, OLN, OABE and AMME were abe to partcipate in a listening session with Dr. Crew this summer. Each organization asked a specific question and we engaged in dialogue about equity, bilinugal education and what it meant to have the NCLB waiver granted.
Thank you to Mark Davalos for facilitating and to Lewis and Clark College for hosting.

We were able to welcome new administrators, aspiring administrators, and promoted Latinos! We had collegues from Portland, Hillsboro, Forest Grove as well as some of our dependable sponsors from Houghton Mifflin and Silverback Learning!
Superintendent Smith from PPS came out to support the cause and to celebrate the new promotions within their district. Thanks to all for your support. We look forward to doing this again!
